What You’ll Need:
- 1 lb. lean ground beef
- Water
- Seasoned salt, salt, and pepper
- Garlic powder
- Onion powder
- 1 t. Italian seasoning
- ½-1 c. parmesan cheese
- 1 egg
- Blender, food mill, or sieve
- Bowl or zipper bag
Step 1. Cook ground beef in water, seasoning it with salt, pepper, and seasoned salt as desired. Break it down as finely as possible. Drain.
Step 2. Using blender, sieve, or food mill, grind beef down further, until it resembles more paste-like crumbs.
Step 3. Season with garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, and cheese. Taste and repeat. (Remember, the mixture will be carrying the flavor for the ravioli, as the pasta is fairly bland.) When it reaches desired flavor, work in the egg.
Step 4. Add bread crumbs until mixture reaches a thick, pliable, dough-like consistency.
Step 5. Store refrigerated in a zipper bag or airtight bowl until you are ready to make ravioli!
Happy Crafting,
Rachelle
